Measure Your AI Presence with Beamtrace

More people are using AI tools to research products or services in ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, and AI-powered search engines. If AI doesn’t mention your business in relevant answers, potential customers may not find you.

The AI Visibility tab of your Beamtrace dashboard shows how often AI recommends your business, how you compare to competitors, and where you typically appear in recommendations.

Is my business visible in AI?

When people ask AI for recommendations or solutions in your category, are you part of the conversation? Visibility Score helps you understand whether AI systems recognize your business and how often they include it in relevant answers.

Head to the Visibility Score section to see your current score, recent changes, and a status label that summarizes your current visibility level:

How to interpret your score:

Visibility Score is measured on a scale from 0 to 100 and reflects your performance over time (based on weekly averages rather than single updates):

  • Invisible (0–20) – AI rarely if ever mentions your business.
  • Low Visibility (20–40) – Your business is mentioned occasionally.
  • Moderate (40–60) – Your business appears regularly, with room to grow.
  • Strong (60–80) – AI frequently recommends your business.
  • Leading (80–100) – Your business is among the most visible in its category.

Check the AI Insight section below the chart for personalized recommendations based on your latest visibility data. It explains important trends, highlights potential issues, and suggests where to focus your efforts next.

Am I winning visibility in my market?

Visibility is relative. Even if AI mentions your business, competitors may still receive more attention in the same conversations.

The Share of Voice section measures how often your business is mentioned in AI-generated answers compared to competitors. It’s a percentage of all tracked business mentions across relevant AI responses.

In this section, you can see how your share has changed over time, along with your current ranking compared to competitors:

How to interpret your Share of Voice:

Instead of focusing on individual update changes, treat Share of Voice as a weekly trend indicator. Increasing share suggests that your business is gaining presence in AI-generated answers, while declining share may signal that competitors are capturing more attention.

Where do I appear in AI recommendations?

Being mentioned is only part of the picture. Businesses that appear near the top of AI recommendations are more likely to be noticed, explored, and selected.

Placement Snapshot shows how prominently your business appears when AI systems choose to mention it. It combines three metrics:

  • Top Placement Rate shows how often your business appears in the top 3 AI recommendations.
  • Typical Position shows where your business typically appears when AI recommends it.
  • Consistency shows whether your placement is improving, stable, or declining.

How to interpret these metrics:

Higher Top Placement Rate and higher-ranked (closer to #1) Typical Position are generally better. For Consistency, look for improving or stable results over time.

Together, these metrics help you understand not just whether AI mentions your business, but where it appears and how you compare to competitors.
